The Designer
After giving birth to her daughter at the age of 18, Emma Osborne, founder of Darling Ava, pulled out all the stops to ensure that she was able to keep on track to achieving her ambition of starting her own designer lingerie business.
After completing her A- levels, she embarked upon a Degree in Fashion and Textiles, specialising in lingerie. It was whilst studying for this Degree that Emma was selected for the Chartered Society of Designers Awards, as well as showing at Graduate Fashion Week in London. Finally, Emma graduated in 2004 with a First Class Honours Degree.
Emma went on to gain valuable experience within the industry, working closely with 1940's-50's inspired designing and corsetry.It was after this that she made the move to set up her own enterprise - Darling Ava.
The name Darling Ava was inspired by love letters, nostalgic romance, and the times when people really knew the meaning of the term “absence makes the heart grow fonder"!
Now with a daughter growing up far too quickly she is confident that Darling Ava will continue to do the same!
